Every picture taken directly from a digital camera typically includes added info called metadata that records details about the creation of each image.

However, sometimes it's better to erase EXIF metadata in order to maintain privacy or anonymity, or simply to avoid uploading a photo with superfluous information.

Deleting this information from individual photos is relatively easy, but when it comes to doing the same for a big batch of files, an application like MetaStripper becomes essential.

This tool eliminates any EXIF, IPTC, and COM metadata from all photos in JPEG format included within the selected folders.

In addition, MetaStripper can keep a backup of the originals to avoid permanent data loss.
